The news of the last fighters and their families withdrawal from eastern Aleppo caused a wide public resonance. After 4 years of violent hostilities a significant economic and logistics center of Syria now is under full governmental control. Western countries have reacted ambiguously to this event as after the withdrawal of all extremists from Aleppo, the town would come under the full control of government forces. A great number of media and politicians estimated the news of Aleppo’s capture as a defeat and raised concerns about the termination of hostilities. During the conflict, Western countries have repeatedly called on to increase the pressure on Assad‘s government and his allies, to toughen sanctions against them and to organize a no-fly zone over Aleppo.
