Lebanon refused to support Arab League’s Aleppo resolution

Yesterday, Arab League held its emergency session of permanent representatives in Cairo. Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar – countries that back the so-called “moderate opposition” – denounced the actions of the Syrian government in Aleppo, allegedly characterizing them as “the violation of international law.”

Meanwhile, Damascus and its allies have managed to bring out more than 6six thousand people out of the eastern neighborhoods and keep evacuating civilians.

However, Lebanese delegation distanced its support for the draft resolution on the situation in Aleppo, in line with Lebanon’s policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other states.
