According to Syrian President Bashar Assad, most of the Syrian militants who have been released from prison choose to cooperate with the Syrian government. This was announced by French lawmaker Nicolas Dyuik after meeting with the Syrian leader.
Quoting Assad, the lawmaker said that from 60 to 70 % of the militants, who have been imprisoned and then set free, returned to their families and prefer to cooperate with the state authorities.
According Dyuik, Bashar Assad opposes the torture of the prisoners, as it turns people against the government.
Let us remind you, that the French delegation headed by the representative of the Republicans party Thierry Mariani arrived on a visit to Syria on January 5.
