According to NTV, Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Mike Pompeo, discussed with Turkey the cooperation in the framework of the operation against ISIS.
According to a source, Pompeo met with the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Service, Hakan Fidan. Then they went to a meeting with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.
It is known that at the meeting they discussed the situation in Syria, and the developments in the Middle East, including the operation in Raqqa.
Turkish troops and forces of the US-led coalition are illegally acting on the territory of Syria. During the whole conflict, Damascus has never asked the United States and Turkey for help in the fight against terrorism, and has never given his permission to conduct any military operations in Syria.
It seems that Washington and Ankara want to join the ranks of those who allegedly helped the Syrians to liberate their homeland from the terrorists. Their “fight against ISIS” is ineffective. Often because of the coalition’s attacks it is killed more civilians than terrorists.
