February 27, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tleuberdi said that Kazakhstan didn’t except technical meetings on Syria in Astana after the negotiations in Geneva.
According to him, Kazakhstan is always ready to provide all conditions for the negotiating platform for the political settlement of the Syrian conflict. Tleuberdi also added that the guarantor countries and all the participants of the negotiations in Astana pay careful attention to security assurance of the meetings.
According to most of the Syrian experts, Syrian negotiations in Astana managed lay the reliable foundation for the negotiations in Geneva. It was the first time, when both sides of the Syrian conflict got together at the negotiating. It also managed to establish a tripartite mechanism to monitor the ceasefire regime in Syria.
