De Mistura condemned terror attacks in Damascus

The UN special envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura condemned double terror attacks in Damascus, which killed 35 people and badly wounded another 70 civilians.
De Mistura stressed, that these attacks were aimed at the disruption of the political dialogue and the world community must not permit the criminal acts of militants to slow down the peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis. In addition, the special envoy urged to end the attacks against civilians and to respect the ceasefire regime.
Despite the terrorist actions the next round of the Syrian talks in Geneva, which is scheduled for March 23, won’t be postponed or delayed.
Let us remind you, that on March 15, double terror act occurred in the capital of Syria. A suicide bomber blew himself up inside the Palace of Justice. Another suicide bomber attacked the western neighborhood of Damascus. No one has claimed responsibility for the incidents. However, Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists have repeatedly committed similar attacks in the Syrian capital, so they could have a hand in these cases too.
