Syria Army expanded buffer zone around Palmyra

For the past week Syrian army units have been successfully attacking ISIS terrorist’s positions in the outskirts of Palmyra.
As a result of the offensive Syrian army managed to liberate several strategic regions, including Mazar Mountains and Palmyra gas fields, which are located in the northern part of Palmyra.
In addition, the government forces initiated the new stage of offensive in two directions, in the east to Al-Talilah Crossroad, in the north to Al-Antar Mountains.
So the Syrian army expanded the buffer zone around ancient Syrian city and regrouped in the area of Arak gas fields and T-3 Pumping Station, forcing terrorists to retreat south into the Syrian Desert.
