Syrian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the air strike on a school that is near the village of al-Mansoura, west of Raqqa, was conducted by the US-led coalition. Unverified reports estimated up to 33 people may have been killed as a result of the attack.
In its message to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the chairman of the UN Security Council, the Syrian Foreign Ministry stressed that the massacre committed by the Air Forces of the international coalition is “another manifestation of the aggression against the Syrian people under the pretext of fighting against terrorism.”
Coalition spokesman, Colonel John Dorrian, confirmed the fact of striking, but he refused to take any responsibility for the death of civilians. According to him, the target of the attack was the concentration of terrorists of Al-Qaeda.
