U.S. and Britain warn of unilateral action against Syria

According to CNN, on Wednesday US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said “the United States and Britain could take unilateral action if the United Nations failed to respond to a suspected chemical attack in Syria.” According to her, both countries had to do it because the UN “consistently fails in its duty to act collectively”. Such statements once again prove that the West does not respect and does not accept the UN. In addition, according to Syrian experts, Western countries are in a hurry to adopt the draft resolution without waiting for the results of the investigation.

In addition, Matthew Rycroft, Britain’s UN ambassador, tried to drive a wedge between Moscow and Damascus saying that Moscow must accuse the Syrian government forces of striking and call the Organization of the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) for carrying out an investigation.

Obviously, Western countries are continuing to groundlessly blame the Syrian authorities for allegedly using chemical weapons in Syria’s Idlib without any independent investigation of the incident. Apparently, in this way, they are trying to make every effort to prevent any support of the Syrian allies.
