New Turkish-backed rebel group vows to “liberate” Syria

The newly formed rebel faction dubbed “Eastern Shield Army” has issued a call to locals in northeast Syria to join their ranks in order to fight the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and Islamic State (ISIL).

According to a statement released by this Turkish-backed rebel group, they vow to “liberate” northeastern Syria from all the forces currently in control of this region.

In general, the Syrian Democratic Forces control a large portion of this territory in northeastern Syria, so if the Eastern Shield Army attacks northeast Syria, they will be fighting against the Kurds.

“Eastern Shield Army” seems to be another terroristic and dangerously-minded group trying to get their profit out of the Syrian war.
