Reinforcement of Syrian Army Arrived in Palmyra

Yesterday night the reinforcement of hundreds Syrian servicemen from the coastal provinces of Tartus and Latakia arrived in the western suburbs of Palmyra.
The details of the military operation are unknown; it is fair to assume that the additional troops arrived in the region to continue the offensive on the western countryside of Palmyra and to liberate the strategic town of Al-Sukhnah.
It is notable that the town of Al-Sukhnah is located along Palmyra-Deir Ezzor highway and it has been under control of terrorists since 2015. The liberation of the town would allow the Syrian army to expand the buffer zone around Palmyra and initiate the offensive on Deir-Ezzor from the western direction.
