The Militants and Their Families Leave the Barzeh Quarter in Damascus

According to Suriya al-N news channel, about 40 buses with opposition militants and their families have left the Barzeh quarter in Damascus due to the local cease-fire agreement between the Syrian army and armed groups. It is planned to withdraw 1.5 thousand people on May 8.
It is expected that, in general, about 8 thousand people will leave the captured quarter. As a result, Barzeh must completely pass under the control of the government forces. The process of restoring the urban infrastructure and the returning of the civilians is planned then.
The whole operation will take five days approximately. The buses with the militants are going to be sent to the opposition-controlled Idlib province.
