Suspects linked to ISIS in Syria arrested in Malaysia

On Saturday, May 27, the police reported that six men alleged to be associated with the the Islamic State were arrested in Malaysia. According to inspector general Khalid Abu Bakar, the six suspects were arrested in different raids from four states between 23 and 25 May, Reuters said.

Among the arrested are two brothers – a religious school teacher and a businessman – taken into custody on the suspicion of helping the militants’ movement in Syria.

All the suspects will be held in custody for further enquiry, Bakar said.
