Kazakhstan Announced Issues of Upcoming Syrian Talks

The Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov stated that during upcoming round of Syrian talks in Astana, the sides would discuss the implementation of de-escalation zone memorandum. The new round of talks is allegedly scheduled on June 12-13.
Abdrakhmanov also said that the representatives of guarantor-states (Iran, Russia and Turkey) during the forthcoming meeting would specify the implementation of the memorandum, as well as determine its further development.
The Foreign Minister confirmed, that the de-escalation zone memorandum signing had led to the reduction of tension in the eastern part of Syria and cessation of hostilities in the region.
Let us remind you that four rounds of Syrian talks with the participation of the Syrian government delegation and the opposition have already held in the capital of Kazakhstan. The creation of ceasefire mechanism and the memorandum signing has become the key outcome of the meetings. The memorandum is aimed at the protection of the territorial integrity and speedy settlement of the conflict by political means.
