Syrian army units backed by Hezbollah fighters continued large-scale offensive against ISIS positions in Deir Ezzor, inflicting heavy losses to the terrorists.
The government forces initiated operation in the eastern suburbs of Palmyra in Homs province, striking ISIS gatherings near strategic town of Al-Sukhnar. At the same time the Syrian troops liberated a number of hills in the north of Palmyra after first clashes with militants.
As a result of the successful attacks the government forces eliminated more than 30 terrorists, including two high-ranking field commanders and destroyed a military convoy with weapons and equipment of radicals.
Also, the Syrian fighter jets struck the ISIS moves in Al-Talileh region and the southern parts of Ber al-Badie in Eastern Homs.
