On Monday, June 12, a German channel NDR quoting Germany’s Prosecutor Office reported a police operation was carried out in Hamburg and Lubeck in northern regions of the country. Within this operation, four Syrians aged from 39 to 51 were detained. The suspects’ apartments were searched.
The men are suspected of joining the terror group Jabhat al-Nusra in November 2012 and participating in war crimes in Syria.
The police haven’t specified how and when the detained entered Germany. On Tuesday, the Federal Court of Justice will decide whether to arrest the men and enforce the investigation.
