Syrian Talks Started in Geneva

The seventh round of Syrian talks started on July 10 in Geneva. The talks kicked off with the meeting between the Syrian government delegation headed by Syrian ambassador to the UN Bashar Jaafari and the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura.
A working lunch between the Syrian opposition the High Negotiation Committee, Moscow and Cairo groups and Staffan de Mistura is also planned lately today.
It is already known that the main issues of the international negotiations will be formation of the government, drafting the constitution, elections and fighting terrorism.
According to the Syrian delegation, the establishment of ceasefire on July 9 in the south of Syria will contribute much to the constrictive dialogue.
The seventh round of Syrian talks is taking place in Geneva after the international meeting on Syria and Astana and bilateral talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his counterpart Donald Trump in Hamburg, where the establishment of ceasefire in the south of Syria was reached.
