Al-Nusra Tries to Disrupt the Truce in East Ghouta

The terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra provoked a temporary resumption of the hostilities in East Ghouta.

According to our military correspondents, armed clashes have been recorded between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the militants of Jabhat al-Nusra, Faylaq Al-Rahman in the area of Arbin (Editor’s note: Arbin is a town in southern Syria, administratively part of the Markaz Rif Dimashq District, located just east of Jobar neighborhood of Damascus. Nearby localities include Kafr Batna and Saqba to the south, Zamalka and Ein Tarma to the southwest, and Douma to the north).

It is also reported that the Syrian Air Force carried out several air strikes at the militant’ positions in Zamalka and Ein Tarma areas in the suburbs of Damascus.

To be recalled is that the ultimatum expired on Thursday that had been given to the militants by the Government of Syria. After the incident with the shelling of the Russian Embassy in Damascus the terrorists had to leave East Ghouta within 24 hours, otherwise the SAA had to launch a ground based operation.

it makes no sense to continue further negotiations with those violating the ceasefire regime. That is why the government troops decided to neutralize the threat of disruption of peace agreements.
