According to Inside Syria Media Center sources, the U.S.-led international coalition jets attacked Syrian army positions to the west of Deir Ezzor city. It is reported that as a result of the air strike several Syrian servicemen were killed and several units of military equipment were totally destroyed. Allegedly, the American aviation used phosphorus bombs.
Any other details of the incident have not yet been made available. Currently neither Damascus nor Washington has confirmed or refuted this information.
Let us remind you that Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Fayssal Mikdad in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV channel called the U.S. military presence in Syria illegal and unacceptable, as it had been approved by the Syrian government.
Apparently, this act of violence has become an American response to Mikdad peace statement.
