Syrian Army Tightens Siege on ISIS in Hama Province

The Syrian Army continued its military operations in Eastern Hama, and took control over several strategic settlements there.

The army units liberated Masoud village in Eastern Hama from the ISIS after several hours of clashes with the terrorists.

A military source reported that ISIS terrorists had fled to Masour village after the Syrian army liberated the town of Aqyrbat. The source noted that heavy clashes were currently underway in Eastern Hama, saying that the army troops killed several terrorists and destroyed their military vehicles as well as ammunition.

In a relevant development on Monday, the Syrian Army continued its military operations in Eastern Hama and managed to capture a strategic power station in Salamiyeh region.

The army’s elite forces ambushed a group of ISIS fighters in Wadi al-Azib region in Eastern Hama, killing the entire members of the group and seizing their arms and ammunition.

It should be mentioned that only a few villages in Eastern Hama are still under the control of the ISIS. According to local sources, the government forces will soon end ISIS’s presence in the province.
