The Syrian army units backed by the allied forces continued large-scale advance on ISIS terrorist’s positions in Deir Ezzor and Raqqa provinces, liberating new areas. It is reported that the government forces restored security over Aleppo–Deir Ezzor Highway.
In addition, the Syrian troops totally liberated the towns of Maadan and Wadi Abu Jabli and several gas and oil fields, which are located north to Deir Ezzor. At the same time the army units have now joined their colleagues deployed in Raqqa.
The terrorists suffered heavy losses in military equipment and man power during the operation. It is also reported that the radicals executed its high-ranking field commander named Abu Abdul Sattar on unknown charges.
