Syria Urges UN to Immediately Respond to Coalition’s Aggression

On Thursday, the Syrian Foreign Ministry once again sent two official letters addressed to the UN Secretary General and the UN Security Council with a demand to stop the illegal actions of the U.S.-led coalition in Syria.

It was reported that on Wednesday the Coalition’s warplanes had shelled al-Sout town in the countryside of Deir Ezzor with the internationally-banned white phosphorus.

Besides, a day before, the Coalition’s air force committed a massacre in Markada town to the south of Hasaka city, killing 6 Syrian civilians, including two women.

Syrian Foreign Ministry also considers it necessary to take into account that the actions of the coalition contradict the resolutions of the UN Security Council, international and humanitarian law, and also counts on taking tough measures against the United States.
