According to Inside Syria Media Center sources, the Syrian army units backed by the Russian aviation succeeded much in fighting ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor city.
After series of airstrikes on terrorist’s positions in the area of Al-Arfi, the government forces managed to liberate several streets and buildings and destroy a headquarters of radicals. It is also reported that more than 40 jihadists, including high-ranking field commander were killed.
As a result of the operation, the Syrian troops established fire control over Al-Siyasiyah Bridge, which has been used for the transportation of arms and weapons from south-eastern part of the country.
At the same time the Syrian army’s 4th and 17th divisions clears the Deir Ezzor–Sukhnah highway from the remaining terrorist groups to restore road transportation with Homs province.
