Breaking: SAA recaptured T2 in east Homs, Abu-Kamal is next?

Inside Syria Media Center’s military correspondents report T2 pumping station and airport was liberated by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) from the terrorists with a help of the allies today. 5th Assault Corps’ ISIS Hunters were among the participants of the operation.

To be mentioned is that recently the Islamic State launched the attack while the Syrian army forces were advancing towards the T2 Airbase, in southern Deir Ezzor Province, 30 kilometers away from the Syrian – Iraqi borders. Assad’ forces reached T-2 Station’s outskirts, 65 km from Abu-Kemal in 6 weeks after start of the offensive. Probably, the SAA will push towards the lion’s den, Abu-Kamal area which should be done in cooperation with Iraqis which for now is missing. Until the Iraqis dont start Al-Qa’im the SAA will not try to advance towards Abu-Kamal. As Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi announced a large-scale offensive on the cities of Al-Qa’im it may happen in the near future.
