Syrian Foreign Ministry: Raqqa is Still Occupied

Yesterday, Syrian Foreign Ministry said that the counter-terrorist operation of the international coalition in Raqqa is a well-planned scenario aimed at diverting the attention of the world community from its crimes.

It was noted that as a result of unprofessional actions by U.S.-led forces and indiscriminate air strikes, most of the city was completely destroyed.

In addition, it was stressed that, despite all Washington’s statements, the Syrian government still considers Raqqa as an occupied city, and that it can be considered liberated only if by the Syrian army establishes full control over the city.

We remind that during the operation in Raqqa, the Coalition Air Forces conducted 13,500 strikes and killed more than 2,000 civilians.
