Armenia is Ready to Take Part in Syria’s Post-War Reconstruction

The Armenian delegation headed by the minister of economic development Suren Karayan paid three-day official visit to Syria, which took place from October 29 to 31. The development of trade and economic cooperation between two states became the basic topic of negotiations.
During the meeting with the Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis the Armenian Minister said that Yerevan is ready to take part in the restoration of different sectors of economy. He also stated that Armenia can provide Syria with highly-qualified specialists in the sphere of construction, agriculture and high technology.
The Syrian diplomat welcomed the readiness of Armenia to take part in Syria’s post-war reconstruction. He also emphasized that Syria is interested Armenian products in its market. Khamis assured that Armenian businessmen, who wished to open their own business in Syria, will receive certain benefits.
