According to Inside Syria Media Center sources, thousands of former residents of Deir Ezzor and surrounding towns gradually started to return their homes by ground transportations.
Dozens of families arrived from Damascus, Latakia, Homs, Hama and Daraa via special busses, which had been provided by the Syrian authorities. The Syrian army units and military police are deployed along the route to provide safety and security.
Let us remind you the in early September the Syrian army entered Deir Ezzor city in September, breaking an ISIS siege of nearly three years on government-held parts of the provincial capital. On November 2, the government forces completely liberated central neighborhoods of the city. Currently engineers have started to demine streets and buildings where radicals left thousands of explosive devices.
