Despite the absence of statements from UN representatives, U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis noted that the international organization approved Washington’s intentions to completely destroy terrorists in Syria.
It is likely that he is trying to mislead the world community about the existence of any legitimate justifications for the military presence of the U.S. armed forces in Syria. Moreover, the U.S. minister doesn’t hide the U.S. plans to operate in the territory of the country as long as possible.
It is obvious that the U.S. actions in Syria are carried out without a relevant UN resolution, without any agreement with the Syrian government, and also contradict all the norms of international law.
The indiscriminate strikes by the Coalition Air Force against civilians, secret deals with ISIS terrorists, financing of the armed opposition are all activities of the Americans in Syria aimed at escalation of the situation in the country. At the same time, Washington regularly shifts all responsibility for the crimes committed to the Assad’s government.
