Syrian Army Surrounds Last ISIS Stronghold in Deir Ezzor

The total fall of the so-called Islamic State in Syria is close to the logical conclusion, as the Syrian army units backed by Syrian Democratic Forces successfully performed several operations in the southern part of Deir Ezzor province.
Following the massive airstrike of the Russian AF on ISIS gatherings between the cities of Albukamal and Al-Mayadeen, the government forces surrounded the settlements of Al-Jalaa and Al-Salihiyah.
For the past several days the elite Tiger Forces completely liberated eight villages and several strategic hilltops along the western banks of the Euphrates River. According to the source in the Syrian High Command, the liberation of Al-Jalaa and Al-Salihiyah will take a couple of days.
