The Syrian Army units backed by the allied forces have managed to impose control over another settlement from ISIS in the northeastern countryside of Hama province, after initiating offensive aimed at the terrorist groups throughout the region and nearby provinces.
Today, the government forces and its allies drove ISIS terrorists out from the settlement of Hajilah in northeast Hama and then liberated the nearby strategic hilltop of Tal Mushayrifah.
Currently, the Syrian forces are preparing the new stage of the offensive against jihadists throughout northeast Hama governorate. The forces of the Syrian Army, the Qalamoun Shield Forces, and Liwa al-Quds will be engaged at this stage of the operation.
The last week has witnessed what was once a small ISIS bastion in northeast Hama expand into the neighboring provinces of Idlib and Aleppo amid the rapid withdrawal of rival jihadist groups.
This development has provoked the Syrian Army to undertake offensive measures to contain any further growth of the terrorist group’s presence throughout the country’s northwest in preparation for a wider operation to eradicate its bastion altogether.
