Kurdish Fighters Destroy More Turkish Army Tanks in Northern Syria

The Kurdish combatants destroyed four tanks of the Turkish Army and Ankara-backed militants in Afrin region in Northern Aleppo, a Kurdish media outlet reported on Friday.

Hawar news reported that the Kurdish fighters repelled a heavy offensive of the Turkish soldiers and their allied militants in the villages of Diwa in Jandariseh region, destroying four tanks of the forces of Operation Olive Branch.

Hawar news further said that the Kurds also destroyed a BMP vehicle of the Turkish army on a road connecting the villages of Sa’ar Najka and Deir Qala in Bolboleh region.

The Turkish Army General Staff announced in a statement on Thursday that more than 1,500 Kurdish militants were killed in military operations by the Turkish army and Ankara-backed militants in Afrin region.

The army’s statement said that 43 Kurdish fighters were killed in the air and ground attacks of the Turkish army and allied militants in Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo in the past 24 hours.

It added that the total casualties of the Kurds in Operation Olive Branch in Northern Syria stand at 1,528 now.
