Syrian Army Wins Back More Eastern Ghouta

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the Syrian government forces have got nearly 60 percent of the militant-held Eastern Ghouta under control. The Syrian troops have succeeded in slicing the enclave into three parts making it next to impossible for the terrorists to unite and get reinforced. On Monday, a town of Medeira was taken over by the Syrian army units and is now used as a launching pad for a new offensive. The terrorists are still occupying Douma, an area around Hammuriyeh, and some other cities.
As the pro-government forces gain control over more and more ground in Eastern Ghouta the terrorists keep on both killing and kidnapping residents in order to make them stay in the region. Besides the humanitarian passages of al-Wafideen and Jisreen are being constantly shelled.
