Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday visited troops on Ghouta’s front line. Commander-in-chief of the Syrian Armed Forces communicated with military personnel and recently evacuated local residents.
Assad’s visit was broadcast on state-run Al-Ikhbariya TV. On his Twitter account, it was published a photo report called “President Assad with the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army at Ghouta’s front line.”
The visit took place after the Syrian army on Saturday liberated the city of Saqba from the terrorists in the southern part of Eastern Ghouta. The government forces have already released more than 80 percent of the area.
