The Syrian Army units have not yet entered the strategic town of Douma in Eastern Ghouta.
Despite some information claiming the gpvernment forces had entered the city, the Syrian troops claimed they would not enter until Jaysh Al-Islam militants gives them the locations of all tunnels and explosive devices inside the town.
The jihadists agreed to give the Syrian army this information, but will wait until their last fighters load the buses for nothern Aleppo before they give them the locations.
Another key component to the reconciliation deal is the Syrian Army will only temporarily enter Douma, which is very similar to the other deals in the East Ghouta region.
The purpose of this deal was to assure the rebels in the East Ghouta that the government was committed to reconciliation.
