The locals in the settlement of al-Jarniyeh in Western Raqqa took to the main streets and raised protests against the Kurdish militias’ forced recruitment and brutal measures.
At the same time, several young people were detained by the representatives of the local government in Hasaka under a forced recruitment plan.
According to the local activests, earlier this month that dozens of central Raqqa residents were attacked by the Kurds after holding a meeting against the illigal US military presence in Syria.
They also reported about increased tensions between the residents of Raqqa and the Kurdish militia, pointing that 7 people were arrested during the protests.
Moreover, several Kurdish politicians and commanders were killed during this popular uprising in Raqqa.
In addition, a number of Kurdish fighters were killed by unknown assailants in the settlement of Tal Jamal near Qamishli.
