Syrian Army Initiates a massive assault on ISIS’s last positions in Yarmouk camp

This morning at approximately 2:30 A.M. (Damascus Time), the Syrian Army and the allied forces initiated a large-scale attack on the positions of ISIS terrorists inside the southern areas of Damascus.

Backed by the elite 42nd Brigade, the Syrian troops started its assault by launching a large number of surface-to-surface missiles towards the jihadist defense lines inside the Yarmouk Camp and Hajar Al-Aswad.

The missile attack was followed by a powerful ground assault from the ground forces on the southwestern corridor of the Yarmouk Camp.

According to Inside Syria Media Center sources, the government forces are trying to advance north of 30th Street in a bid to push ISIS terrorists out from the Hajar Al-Aswad axis.

It is also reported, the Syrian troops are looking to eliminate the last remnants of the terrorist group in the next few weeks.
