Last night ISIS terrorists initiated a new attack on the Syrian army positions in the southeastern countryside of the Deir Ezzor province that lasted for several hours.
ISIS started the assault by storming the government forces at the towns of Hasarat, Jalaa, and Saiyal not far from Albukamal city.
This time, the terrorists managed to capture initially a number of positions inside these settlements, forcing the Syrian Army troops to retreat.
In response to this offensive, the Syrian troops immediately sent its reinforcements from Albukamal to recapture their lost points. In a result, the government forces regained control over the lost positions and killed at least 20 jihadists during the battle.
