Syrian Army liberates several towns bordering with Jordan

After the liberation of a number of towns and villages in northwestern part of Daraa previously today, the Syrian Army continued to recapturing garrison posts along Jordanian border in order to secure and eventually completely seal the frontiers.

According to Inside Syria Media Center sources, the Syrian troops have recaptured up to 27 border outposts (point 62 until point 36), all located to the west of the recently-liberated Nassib border crossing.

Sealing off the borders would prevent militants and supplies influx into the Syrian territories, as well as foil all attempts made by militantsto escape to neighboring Jordan.

The Syrian army have shifted focus to the western countryside of Daraa with the ultimate objective to expel jihadi groups all the way to the Occupied Golan Heights.
