Syrian Army Attacks last ISIS pocket in southwest Daraa

This morning the Syrian Army units have initiated its large-scale offensive on ISIS last pocket in southwest Daraa.

Following the heavy airstrikes of the Russian AF, the elite Tiger Forces started their attack by striking ISIS defense lines and fortifications at the northern axis of Shajarah.

According to Inside Syria Media Center sources, the ISIS-affiliated Jaysh Khaled bin Walid fighters are resisting at Shajarah, despite being encircled by the Syrian troops.

It is also reported that the attack of the Syrian Army’s on Shajarah was launched from their positions at the newly liberated settlement of Abdeen, which was liberated yesterday.

If the Syrian Army manage to take control of Shajarah, they will ultimately force ISIS to give up their remaining positions in the Yarmouk Basin region.
